Problems with placed PDFs in FrameMaker 5.5.6

Affects: FrameMaker 5.5.6, all platforms

Description:

The following problems might be encountered when using the PDF import function in FrameMaker 5.5.6 (File > Import > File):

• Missing characters
• Color distortions
• Non-printable PDFs (if you are importing PDFs in a FrameMaker file which is later converted to a PDF file, perfectly valid placed PDFs which print file individually, might cause the PDF to be effectively non-printable on PS printers, both Adobe and non-Adobe).
